Finding affordable and beautiful accommodation spots may be a low key hobby of mine. While I cannot take 100% credit for finding this spot, after staying here with some friends, I can definitely say that it is a true Tobago Villa gem.
Top O' Tobago Villa and Cabanas is located on Arnos Vale Road and has spectacular ocean views especially from the pool deck. It's location and it's ambiance makes for a perfect relaxing getaway.
The property is made up of a main house as well as 3 studio apartments aka Cabanas, which are all private and each has their own patio. The host describes the property as offering the best of both hotel and apartment living and I 100% agree.
While the accommodation is self catering, a resident host remains on site to cater to guest needs, including the changing of towels and making of the bed an in some instances the washing of wares (which we did not at all expect).
I stayed at this villa on 2 occasions and I enjoyed each experience in its own unique way.
What I love;
The view, it is amazing
The pool, what really makes a pool enjoyable is the ambiance and this pool has both a view and a serene type of ambiance
The amenities, think of anything you may need to make your vacation what you want it to be, they got it. Hammock, BBQ pit, library, snorkel gear (to name a few)
Proximity to the beach; its a short and easy 10 minute hike to the beach which is technically private as there are not usually many people there.
What I don't love as much:
While I love the ambiance of nature, I don't love the creepy crawlies. Because of the forested location, there are bugs and lizards that you may see around. Its not overwhelming but they are there.
What's the vibe?
It's giving Calm and Relaxing. I think that the vibe you are going for is very important in vacation planning (check out my post, how to plan a vacation). The vibe here gives calm and relaxing, especially if you are going for a relaxing vacation, whether it be with friends, with a partner or even lonesome, it works.
Things to note:
Due to the villa's location, access to a vehicle while in Tobago is recommended.
